Choose a safari from our many explored routes with stunning views of mountains & coastline; discover the charming white Andalucian pueblos.
We are based in the delightful village of El Colmenar (Estacion de Gaucin), which is situated in one of Andalucia’s stunning natural parks - ‘Parque Natural de Los Alcornocales’.
We are approximately one hour by car from Estepona, Duquesa, Sotogrande, Gibraltar and Ronda. The Algeciras to Granada train stops in the village several times a day, which is an alternative to driving (if our scheduled meeting place is El Colmenar.)
From this lovely rural location we have explored many new cycling routes to add to those that we operated from our previous coastal base in Estepona. We prefer cycling for pleasure and fun rather than as an ‘endurance test’ (quote from the boss); hence many of our safaris remain within the comfort zone and the limits of most cyclists.
If you are looking for something a little harder we have included some tried and tested routes for the more adventurous cyclist. The national parks cover thousands of acres with kilometers of off-road tracks so in addition to the few safaris set-out in the site there are endless alternatives and many can be linked-up. Of course, the agreeable climate allows for wonderful year-round cycling. Why not choose from a circular or linear safari of the park, through the valley taking in the landscape and sea views; perhaps from village to village, or a descent safari only.
Included in the price, and for your comfort and safety, we provide you with a bike, safety helmet, transport between the meeting place and the start of the route, water, a map and full support on the route.
